What is the goal of G360?
G360’s goal is to produce GEMs:
GodlyGodliness is a non-negotiable in Christian ministry (1 Tim 3:1-7; 4:6-16; Tit 1:5-9). Of course no one is perfectly godly except our Lord Jesus. But the Bible does demand exacting standards and progress (1 Tim 4:12-16) when it comes to the character for men and women who enter full-time ministry. G360 aims to encourage growth in godliness through its ministry training and personalised pastoral supervision. |
ExpositoryAll Christian ministry is Bible teaching ministry. And the only gift required for gospel ministry is the ability to teach (1 Tim 3:2; 4:11, 13-14; 2 Tim 2:15; 4:1-8; Tit 1:9). G360’s training is therefore thoroughly focused on helping trainees to develop an expository approach to the Bible which can be applied from Pulpit to Sunday School to One-to-One ministry. As such, trainees will be required to spend the bulk of their training working on their Bible handling (exegesis and hermeneutics) and teaching/preaching (homiletics). Over the course of two years the trainees will dig deep into several key Bible books, develop a biblical theological instinct, and also learn how to teach/preach every genre of the Bible. |
MultipliersGod wants people in ministry who can multiply the work of the gospel both evangelistically (Matt 28:16-20) and through edification (2 Tim 2:1-2). As such, G360 equips its trainees to be effective evangelists, disciplers, and ministry leaders. Much of the training involves thinking hard about Christian doctrine and how that translates into leading a gospel-centered ministry. |
What does G360 training involve?
G360 trainees typically spend two days a week receiving training and four days serving in their local ministry. One day of training involves Bible Handling where they will work through key books like Exodus, Galatians, Ephesians and Revelation, trying to discuss and debate in groups what is the point, purpose and tone of a passage and how it fits into the book as a whole. The second day of training involves teaching in Systematic Theology, Pastoral Ministry and Preaching. Over the two years trainees will learn how to teach/preach every genre of the Bible and be assessed through regular preaching groups. In addition, all trainees are personally supervised by a pastor/trainer. The four days serving in a local church allows trainees to put into practice what they have learnt and to have their gifts assessed in a real world ministry setting.
